Getting started with Larry.

A short walkthrough from install to your first review. If something here doesn't match what you're seeing, email us and we'll sort it out.

1. Install the extension

2. Sign in

Open the extension popup and enter your email address. We'll send a one-time code to your inbox; enter it to sign in. There's no password to create or remember.

If a code doesn't arrive, check spam first. You can request up to 2 codes per hour, so if you've requested a few in quick succession, wait a little before trying again.

3. Watch and capture words

1. Open a Thai title on Netflix that has a Thai subtitle track.
2. Larry's overlay appears on the subtitle line, split into individual words with a pronunciation guide underneath each one.
3. Tap or hover a word to see its meaning in that scene, then save it. The show, episode, and line are saved along with it.

If a title has no Thai subtitle track, Larry tells you plainly rather than guessing.

4. Review your saved words

Open Review Studio to go through your saved words and phrases whenever suits you. It groups them by show, tracks what's due for review, and includes a Sentence Lab for reviewing full lines rather than single words.

5. Export to Anki

From your Review Studio profile, export your saved words as a CSV file formatted for Anki import, so your review deck travels with you into whatever spaced-repetition tool you already use.

6. Delete your account

From your Review Studio profile, choose delete account. We recommend exporting to Anki first if you'd like to keep your words. Deletion is immediate and removes your saved words, review history, and account entirely.

If something breaks

Streaming sites change their pages from time to time, which can affect the overlay. If Larry stops working, our target is to fix it within 72 hours. We'd rather turn a feature off honestly and tell you than let it fail quietly.
